According to the Hollywood Reporter, the new end-of-world blockbuster 2012 (starring Danny Glover as President? Really? I just have visions of him muttering to himself in the Oval Office: "I'm too old for this shit.") will be released in November 2009 instead of July as originally planned. I'm bummed about the wait - seeing that wall of water come over the Himalayas looks awesome - but if it means even better special effects, then I'm all for it. While I love the quiet, indy, non-special effect apocalypse films... there will always be a special place in my heart for a large, noisy, visual representation of the world coming to an end.
